The Chrome team has pushed out a new update on the dev channel for those subscribed. Read on for the highlights.

In case you’ve forgotten how to test these beta versions of Chrome, see this post for a detailed explanation.

The latest update to Chrome features mainly bugfixes. The one bug that I’ve had some trouble with lately is the squished tabs, which seems to have been “mostly” addressed in this update. Here are the highlights straight from the horse’s mouth:

  • Improved scrolling on pages with multiple plugins.
  • Fixed (mostly) the problem of tabs suddenly going to the smallest size.
  • Fixed downloads going to the wrong folder.
  • Fixed Gears not loading sometimes.
  • Removed the option to import bookmarks from Google bookmarks. We think we can improve this feature, so we’re pulling it out until we come up with something better.
  • Added a way to remove sites from the ‘Never remember passwords’ list. Go to Options > Minor Tweaks > Passwords and click Exceptions.

The full release notes can be found here, courtesy of the Chromium development documentation.

UPDATE:I had the squished tabs strike again immediately after updating! So much for “mostly” fixed.
